Our Finance Transformation team serves as trusted advisors to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and other key executives, providing strategic advice and implementing as-a-service solutions. Position Summary
As a Manager at Deloitte, you will work with industry leaders to strengthen your analytical and industry skills while developing and implementing innovative solutions that help clients address complex profitability and financial analytics challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement: Lead client engagements to identify and address complex business challenges.
Data Analysis: Manage and analyze structured and unstructured data using data visualization to support decision making.
PaPM: Drive and leverage the use of SAP PaPM and advanced analytics to deliver strategic insights.
Profitability and Costing: Lead the design and implementation of profitability and costing methodologies.
Development and Deployment: Steer the development and deployment of technology-driven business solutions, including automation and machine learning.
Team Overview
Responsible for the installation, development, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of package technologies. Includes defining or coordinating common processes or procedures to support package custom development, APIs, UI/UX, and process flows and handshakes.
Our Finance Transformation team collaborates with key executives to advise, implement, and deliver solutions that enhance decision-making and finance operations. We focus on transforming finance functions into dynamic capabilities, leveraging best-in-class solutions across finance and analytics, planning, FP&A as-a-service, finance technology strategy, and ERP-enabled finance transformation.
Our Business Finance offering enables finance teams to deliver strategic value by integrating planning, costing, budgeting, and forecasting across functions. Leveraging advanced data and technology platforms, we provide actionable insights, streamline decision-making, and support data-driven growth. We also offer comprehensive grants management solutions to effectively manage risks and opportunities in complex grant programs.
Our Profitability, Costing, and Allocations offering partners with organizations to improve their financial performance and resource utilization. We address challenges such as cost management, profitability analysis, and allocation strategy design. Using data-driven analysis and predictive modeling, our professionals deliver insights across financial, regulatory, forensic, and transactional areas.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Profitability, Costing & Allocations Experience:
- 6+ years of technical or advisory-related experience in profitability reporting, product/service costing, and cost allocations.
- Experience in building cost and profitability models and using purpose-built solutions.
Data Analytics:
- Experience working with and managing data sets, including extraction and merges from source systems, transformation, and providing preliminary descriptive analytics.
Technology:
- Understand the alignment of BW/4 HANA / Native HANA Model with PaPM Model
- Working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA and/or Oracle
Professional Competencies:
- Excellent communication, teambuilding, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities and strong critical thinking.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple projects or responsibilities in a demanding environment
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in the following majors with relevant analytics or data management focused coursework desired:
- Technology: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems
- Business: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics
- Math/Engineering: Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Statistics, Actuarial
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients ~ industry sectors you serve.

Preferred Qualifications:
PaPM:
- Direct experience in designing and implementing SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM)
- Assist with defining the data model in PaPM, support integration discussions, guide on standard capabilities in PaPM and drive design of the business rules.
Analytical Tools, Applications, and Programming Languages:
- Experience with a variety of analytics tools and programming languages such as, but not limited to:
- Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
- CostPerform, SAP, Oracle, Oracle EPCM, Hyperion, Anaplan
- Big Data Tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Impala, Mahout)
- Machine Learning/Cognitive (e.g., Python, Mahout, CognitiveScale)
- Predictive Analytics/Data Mining: (e.g., IBM SPSS, SAS Enterprise Miner, RPL, Python, MATLAB)
- Data Visualization Tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, Power Bi)
- Large enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High energy, result driven person.
- Ability to energize teams through inclusiveness and connection with people.

- Ability to multi-task and ensure timely deliverables.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 107,600-198,400.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
