Key Responsibilities:

The Product Owner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our valuable, though complex, products by effectively balancing customer needs with business objectives. This position requires a combination of strategic vision, strong analytical skills, and collaborative teamwork to deliver solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible. You will be responsible for managing change requests and applications, understanding their impact on various teams. The ideal candidate will engage with internal customers to comprehend their needs, interpret their requests, and determine how these align with feasible solutions. This role demands experience in modern product management and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Vision and Strategy:

  • Co-create, own, and evangelize the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Align product objectives with the product line and business goals.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, experience, and delivery teams.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with cross-functional team members (business, engineering, experience, and delivery) to achieve KPI outcomes.
  • Promote a product operating model that emphasizes outcomes over output.
  • Guide the team toward solutions that address priority user and business needs.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote and drive rapid, emergent, and ongoing learning and adaptation to meet objectives.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement to eliminate waste and accelerate value achievement.
  • Share knowledge and best practices within the product vertical community.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in product owner, business solutions analyst or related roles.
  • 1+ years of specific experience in requirements solicitation, translating requirements into technical user stories, testing against acceptance criteria and backlog grooming.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and balancing the needs and expectations of various stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and the development team.
  • 3+ years working with one or more of the following principles and practices: Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or Six Sigma.
  • Must be able to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An MBA or related advanced degree
  • Some proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, and the ability to use data to drive product decisions, measure success, and optimize product features.
  • Ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences in an understandable and engaging manner.
  • Experience working with Talent related products (i.e. Performance Management, User Dashboards, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to articulate product vision, requirements, and priorities to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Strong presentations skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Keen decision-making skills to quickly and effectively prioritize tasks and features based on business value and customer needs.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $930,00to $171,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
