Work you'll do

As a Personal Consultation Lead Analyst, you'll use your interpersonal, analytical, research and investigative skills to:

  • Work closely with ICN Managers, Partners and Managing Directors and engagement Responsible Parties to assist audit engagement teams and Deloitte US professionals with compliance of regulatory independence rules/standards and Deloitte independence policies
  • Perform research and analysis on corporate entity structures of financial institutions to determine affiliate relationships; financial relationships and employment relationships
  • Document independence analysis and conclusions to ensure that conclusions are supported with factual information relevant to each independence consultation;
  • Assist in the interpretation and implementation of new and existing independence policies
  • Serve as a technical resource for other teams within ICN
  • Perform independent research, and develop guidance to address emerging independence topics
  • Prepare independence materials for use at conferences and trainings
  • Conduct training sessions and participate in virtual and in-person training sessions
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process through recommendation of changes in policies and/or procedures
  • Own and manage projects that may include reports for leadership, due diligence analysis, and reconciliations
  • Review the work product of more junior team members and support and coach other members of the team; and Identify risk areas and suggest improvements to promote compliance and mitigate risk
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail along with strong technical, organizational, and analysis skills
  • Proven ability to analyze facts and relationships
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply firm's independence policies and guidance
  • Demonstrate initiative and good judgment

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrate experience in managing and supervising a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

  • An understanding of compliance requirements for professional auditing firms
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, such as equities, fixed income, brokerage accounts, etc.
  • Experience working in a large corporation or accounting firm
  • Familiarity with financial services, investments, and an understanding of common financial instruments is a plus
  • Financial Services industry experience is a plus

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $103,900-$173,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
