Work you'll do
As an Office Services Manager, you lead a team of professionals focused on providing an array of services and support which assist our Deloitte professionals, clients and guests. Support ranges across areas such as meetings and events (planning through execution), facility management (repair and maintenance of space/equipment, security, janitorial), general office support (mail, printing, reception), and other services that support our clients, our space, and the daily work environment.

- Managing business operations and services to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and service agreements
- Overseeing facility management activities to ensure space and equipment are well maintained and in compliance with national strategy/standards and lease agreements
- Leading and developing your team to ensure proactive high-levels of customer service, responsiveness, accuracy, service quality, communication and professionalism
- Supporting the financial planning and budgeting process by ensuring proper/effective use of budgets while balancing against unplanned expenses
- Adding value through the analyzation of department procedures, delivery of service, software, a/v equipment and other departmental related systems, to increase efficiencies, ensure performance and customer satisfaction. You will also assess results and recommend process improvements, where applicable
- Managing and fostering relationships with customers, team, vendors and other key stakeholders through effective communications, collaboration, and engagement with purpose to deliver a "best in class" experience
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solver with the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
- Ability to analyze/interpret difficult situations and quickly make recommendations for resolution
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with people of all levels
- Ability to define and communicate clear business objectives and desired outcomes
- Strong technical skills and a solid understanding of MS Office
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Leadership skills: the ability to proactively manage client's needs, address crises and manage change effectively
- Professional presence with the ability to build credibility and collaborate directly with office leadership
- Demonstrate ability in team building
- Ability to effectively manage change and act as a change agent
The team
At Deloitte, the operations team, known internally as the "One Team," provides a full-range of hospitality and business services. We help our Deloitte professionals with daily office support needs, meeting and event planning and execution, and an array of other services related to office operations and facility management. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric "experience" for our Deloitte professionals, clients, and guests.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role, or in a position with similar skill sets, managing a team
- Experience, preferably in hospitality or office services within a service-oriented or customer-centric environment
- Excellent technical skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Relevant corporate experience supporting facilities management activities
- Ability to work occasional overtime, including nights and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to travel 0-15% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Bachelor's degree
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be based in New York City area and work in the office a minimum of 4 days per week
Preferred:
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong financial and data analysis skills
- Project management experience
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York state, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $99,000 to $165,000
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
