We're looking for enthusiastic, hospitality-driven students who are eager to dive into the fast-paced world of event planning at a professional services organization. As part of our team, you'll help design and deliver impactful events, connect with and job shadow Deloitte leaders and professionals, and contribute to projects that make a real difference. Work you'll do
- Event Planning Support
- Assist planners with sourcing venues and vendors.
- Sit in on kick off calls to understand vision/scope
- Source external event venues and pull together sourcing deck for client presentation
- Shadow planners on how to build out an estimated forecast for meeting financials of varying complexity
- Process deposits and invoices within meeting management system Summit
- Train to independently handle smaller, less complex meetings
- Go on site accompanying MES NY Planners to gain onsite training and experience
- Data Management
- Clean up and maintain Summit Data based on business needs
- Open new meeting IDs in Summit and make planner assignments for annual portfolios
- Assist with organizing and updating event-related records
- Communications & Coordination
- Manage the MES group mailbox, responding to inquiries and routing messages
- Project Assistance
- Work with MES Managers and Lead Planners on maintaining job aids, organization chart and brand deck
- Join special projects initiated by broader MES Team
- Join Monthly Meeting Makers or Culture Committee to help support internal initiatives

The Team
At Deloitte, Meeting & Event Services (MES) is the team of event professionals in planning and registration that provide strategic end-to-end solutions for all Deloitte meeting and event needs. The Marketplace Event planning team within MES is focused on planning, managing and delivering events with a primarily local audience throughout the country (i.e. holiday events, retirement parties, marketing and client facing events, tradeshows, internal trainings or culture building events, etc.) Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric "experience" for our Deloitte professionals, clients, and guests attending events.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Current students with an interest in event planning, hospitality, or related fields
- Creative / innovative and analytical thinker
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under deadlines
- Positive attitude and a passion for creating exceptional experiences
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's Degree in progress at a CUNY school with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Hospitality Management major preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
This start date for this position will be in 2026.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $23.
