Deloitte is seeking an accomplished Enterprise Architect to drive the modernization and transformation of Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). This senior role is pivotal in leading strategy, solution architecture, and go-to-market initiatives across complex state Medicaid environments.

The Enterprise Architect will play a central role in shaping, positioning, and delivering innovative MMIS solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams and forging strong client partnerships.

Lead design, architecture, and implementation of state-of-the-art MMIS solutions, ensuring alignment with Medicaid regulations, industry best practices, and client business objectives.
  • MMIS Transformation Leadership:
    Drive large-scale MMIS transformation initiatives, conducting assessments, developing roadmaps, and delivering integrated strategies that advance modularity, interoperability, and sustainability.
  • Strategic Go-to-Market (GTM):
    Shape and execute GTM strategies for MMIS services and solutions, including identifying target markets, ecosystem partners, and value propositions.
  • Business Development & Positioning:
    Work closely with business development teams to identify opportunities, craft proposals, lead solution positioning, and present to executive-level client stakeholders.
  • Teaming & Collaboration:
    Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering collaboration between technical, operational, and domain experts to deliver synergy and excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Forge trusted relationships with state Medicaid agencies, system integrators, and industry partners, acting as a thought leader and strategic advisor.
  • Industry Thought Leadership:
    Represent the organization at industry forums, contribute to white papers, and stay at the forefront of MMIS regulatory and technological advancements.
  • Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
    Oversee all phases of project delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and risk minimization in MMIS transformation projects.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 15+ years' hands-on experience working with MMIS systems, including design, implementation, and modernization initiatives.
    • Demonstrated expertise architecting MMIS solutions for state Medicaid agencies, with a solid understanding of modularity, interoperability (MITA, FHIR, CMS requirements), and system integrations.
    • Deep knowledge of go-to-market strategies in the public sector health IT domain, including solution shaping, teaming, and positioning.
    • Experience leading high-impact teams and cultivating key partnerships with clients and ecosystem partners.
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with cloud-based MMIS solutions and emerging technologies (AI/ML, analytics, RPA).
    • Track record of leading responses to large RFPs and delivering oral presentations for state Medicaid clients.
    • Recognized thought leadership within the MMIS or Medicaid transformation community.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive stakeholders.
    • Proven record of innovation, leadership, and successful MMIS project delivery.

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $167,325 to $278,875.
