Manager - Global Business Services (GBS) - Operational Finance
Position Summary
Our Operational Finance Transformation team serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to CFOs, CAOs and other executive clients. We leverage Deloitte's comprehensive capabilities, assets, and insights to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions. Our mission is to help clients modernize their full suite of end-to-end Finance functions, including Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report processes, with the goal to enhance financial and operational performance, manage financial and audit risks, drive organizational change, and become strategic business partners within their organizations.

Work you'll do:
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Manager to join our Operational Finance Transformation team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated deep expertise of the full Finance function (specifically Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report) as well as the related operating model structures, technologies/solutions (including AI use cases and ERP enablement) and performance measurements. This individual will bring a strong track record of integrating technology and process design, as well as leading complex change management initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic business transformation programs, architect effective governance structures, lead the implementation of new capabilities on a global scale, and optimize functional processes by leveraging the latest technologies.
As Operational Finance Transformation Manager, you will lead projects for some of the world's biggest organizations. You will lead the identification, analysis, and implementation of business and technology solutions that drive operational effectiveness and efficiency. In this role, you will architect and guide strategies and transformation efforts that enable growth and value creation by driving innovation into core business processes, standardizing and simplifying the way work gets done, and optimizing service delivery models.

The team:
As finance cycles converge, Our GBS Operational Finance Transformation team advises, implements, and operates best-in-class solutions to accelerate insights and transforms the Finance organization from functional to dynamic capabilities. We deliver resilient, agile, and cost-effective outcomes that advance the CFO, CAOs and other executive stakeholders' agendas. Our solutions and capabilities support ERP-enabled transformation through the functional design, implementation, and governance of processes, controls, and policies.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 8+ years relevant consulting experience in a professional services environment (large/boutique consulting firm or industry advisory/strategy team)
- 3+ years of direct people management experience, including leadership of teams on complex projects
- Demonstrated project experience within back-office functional optimization - specifically in Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report - as well as Shared Services, Outsourcing, and/or Offshoring
- Proven experience in service delivery model strategy, design, implementation, and optimization for multi-functional or single-function entities
- Advanced financial modeling/analysis and business case development skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with leading-edge technologies that enable Finance operations (AI, Predictive Analytics, RPA, HighRadius, BlackLine, Basware)
- Solid knowledge of ERP functionality and how it enables Finance operations
- Practical experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar customer-oriented workflow platforms
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling storyboards and presentations for diverse audiences, including executives
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and oral/written communication ability; known for integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environments; skilled at managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently, influence others, and lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
- Outstanding executive presence, leadership, and advanced communication skills
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma)
- Certifications in change management methodologies (Prosci, ADKAR) are a plus
- Experience in Business Process Technology vendor selection
- Ability to translate technology functionality into business process improvements
- Experience in developing proposals for client engagements or project pursuits
- MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $151,800 - $265,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
