Position Summary

Our Operations Transformation offering provides NextGen core operational solutions and operating models, business-led technology support, and process optimization services, maximizing value to our government clients' missions.

Work You'll Do

• Locate, evaluate, organize, and report on key operational and financial metrics and ship parts.

• The logisticians will provide the summary of who/when/where of the ship information.

• Assist in tracking, management and optimization of key operational and financial metrics, including analysis regarding ship parts and tool data.

• Compare data and resources used in waterfront tools like Haystack, etc., look for efficiencies and best practices. Document and codify processes.

• Act as a liaison with DOD client's Supply Officer and supply departments as well as counterparts in matters pertaining to material readiness.

• Maintain awareness and understanding of 2-Kilos, MILSTRIP, and Casualty Reports (CASREP) and how they affect surface ship performance and future risk to mission accomplishment.

• Maintain awareness of ship's schedules to advise stakeholders of requisition prioritization in the event of outstanding requisitions with competing priorities.

• Apply business and logistics principles to track, manage and optimize supply chain activities and maintenance operations.

Work alongside clients every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and provide practical solutions at every stage of their journey-before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma, or a GED, and more than 10+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of relevant experience.

• Prior military, civilian, or contractor experience in the DOD

• Must have at least a Secret level clearance (currently active or can be reinstated)

• 5+ years' experience in collection, organization, manipulation, display, charting and analysis of project and data from multiple sources

• Experience working at a Shipyard, Type Commander, or other related Organization

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

• Efficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Capability to craft responses to data call/reports from Fleet leadership

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, attention to detail, and superb customer interaction.

• Ability to create and maintain Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and action items

• Familiar with technical writing and editing

• Possesses a working knowledge of military acronyms

• Adept at compiling diverse information from multiple sources and forming them into clear, succinct products for senior leadership

• Knowledge of modernization and maintenance fielding plans and work packages for surface ships.

• Experience with maintenance milestones, schedules, policies, and procedures.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 to $188,875.
