Work you'll do
We are seeking a highly skilled Appian Architect to design, develop, and deploy advanced Appian solutions, with a particular focus on leading client discussions and bridging the knowledge gap for account leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Appian development, client management, and public sector consulting experience. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, supporting mission-critical projects for our clients.

Client
- Executive Relationship Ownership
- Lead Technical Architect for Appian Programs
- Advisor to Client Enterprise Architecture
- Trusted Advisor to Clients on all Transformation Efforts
- SME and Advisor to Account Team on Project, Program, and Delivery Team
- SME and Advisor on staffing and delivery model
- Interpret and troubleshoot technical issues within Appian design objects.
- Create and present technical presentations to clients.
- Leading development efforts in support of the client solution.
- Partner with peers to create and develop the best solution based on client requirements.
Firm
- Pre-eminent Technical Advisor Across the Firm
- Solution Architect for Business Development efforts across multiple sectors
- Point Person for initial discussions in Accounts and Sectors
- Trusted Advisor to Accounts and Leaders
- SME and Liasson to Commercial and Global efforts
- Advisor on partner and teaming strategy
Practice
- Market Leader for Practice
- Build Go-to-market Strategy for Appian across sectors.
- Practice Owner
- Develops Practice Growth Strategy
- Staffing Advisor to Accounts and individuals.
- Conducts Senior Level Technical Interviews
- Advises Alliance Manager and Lead Alliance Partner on marketing, GTM strategy, recruiting, business development, etc.

Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of professionals brings fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.
Our Engineering as a Service offering provides end-to-end design, implementation, and technology operations, leveraging our core engineering expertise. We help transform engineering teams, modernize technology, & deliver complex programs with a product engineering mindset. Our flexible delivery models- traditional teams, pools, or pods, are tailored for each client's needs, offering engineering-led Advise, Implement, & Operate capabilities to accelerate innovation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel 20-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Appian certified Lead Developer certification.
- 15 + years of experience in successful software delivery or software development.
- 8 + years of experience in leading software delivery, or project management
- 8 + years of experience working in Appian development.
Preferred:
- Previous Federal Consulting and/or professional services experience
- Applied knowledge of Appian development and solutions architecture
- Displays both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
- Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
