This qualified candidate is an experienced security professional in the Deloitte Global Public Sector (GPS) Security office. The main responsibilities are to lead a team of security professionals, perform standard and specialized personnel security (PerSec) processing, and handle all Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operational and compliance duties.
The individual will provide timely and accurate operational and compliance support. The individual will help process Personnel Security clearance actions as needed. This includes Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access processing. The position offers a chance to work in a team environment. The individual can build a career in the Federal Security profession. The role provides exposure and responsibility in all security disciplines.
The position will require knowledge and experience with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and agency-specific regulations and programs. The candidate will support Deloitte's compliance with 32 CFR part 117, NISPOM Rule, ICDs, and SEADs. This support is for our government clients, accrediting authorities, and firm security policies and procedures.
Work You'll Do
- Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM, its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, ICD, and SAP policy.
- Assist in creating and following approved policies and procedures. Safeguard Special Access Program (SAP) and collateral data for US federal agency operations.
- Provide daily security support. Continuously assess procedures, identify risks, and recommend appropriate mitigations. Revise and improve security policies, procedures, and systems.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and applying our Security Awareness Training & Education (SATE) program.
- Support contract compliance, subcontract management and oversight.
- Brief all levels of personnel, both in the government and senior civilians, on a variety of security-related topics.
- Prepare for, conduct and document SAP facility Self & Annual Inspections.
The Team
At Deloitte, GPS Security is an internal operations team providing a range of security services. We help Deloitte professionals navigate security protocols from proposals, through the contract, to contract close out. Our clients are other Deloitte professionals. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric experience for our Deloitte professionals and external clients.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of SAP experience and Federal Security program compliance experience
- TS/SCI clearance (with ability to upgrade to Poly)
- 2+ years of knowledge and experience with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and agency-specific regulations and programs
- 2+ years leading, mentoring, training, and delegating duties to junior security professionals
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employer sponsorship is not needed now or in the future.
- Ability to work on-site in the Arlington, VA office
Preferred Qualifications
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC)
