Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks an Engineering Delivery Manager II in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Work You'll Do
Manage software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Evaluate the technology needs of an organization, develop strategies to increase the company's profitability, and design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth. Manage day-to-day interactions with executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients. Lead aspects of the proposal development process and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

  • You should reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required.
  • Telecommuting (working from home) is permitted, though you should expect to co-locate with team members or other colleagues in a Deloitte office, at a client site and/or virtually, based on specific team expectations.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to approximately 50%, based on the type of work you perform and the clients served.

Requirements

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Must have 5 years of progressive related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires 3 years of experience in the following:

  • Utilizing Waterfall, Agile, and Hybird methodologies to manage software advisory and implementation services for clients in the Government and Public Services industries;
  • Participating in all phases of project delivery and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software solutions for enterprise-level clients;
  • Participating in functional, regression, and performance testing, utilizing Atlassian Jira, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Six Sigma framework to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions;
  • Supervising teams focused on different workstreams of engagements including functional design and testing ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Visio;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders utilizing Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, MS Project and Jira, and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Participating in the project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks, utilizing MS Project, and Kanban boards; and
  • Designing and delivering user manuals and training for solutions to ensure successful implementation, adoption and maintenance in client environments, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and Instructional design models including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE).
