Join the Talent Innovation & Solutions team in Digital & Analytics as the Data Governance Lead Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing our talent data governance framework. You'll ensure our data is accurate, secure, and fully compliant.

You will:

  • Drive Excellence: Maintain the existing governance framework that safeguards the integrity and quality of our talent data. As well as create new frameworks for new processes/functionality within our landscapes.
  • Collaborate and Influence: Work closely with business leaders and Enabling Areas to proactively identify and mitigate data risks.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Support stakeholders by guiding them through approval processes and providing expert insights on data governance best practices.
  • Help Shape Our Future: Develop clear, user-friendly documentation and resources that make our processes accessible and actionable for everyone.

Work you'll do:
Collaborate with Talent functional experts to design and document a governance process to maintain the integrity of the data:

  • Collaborate with functional teams to analyze current processes.
  • Pinpoint data integrity issues.
  • Recommend targeted process improvements.
  • Deliver clear process flows, best practices, and actionable toolkits.

Project Management

  • Drive Strategic Data Initiatives: Champion requests for new data and metrics from diverse stakeholders, expertly guiding them through the Talent governance process and ensuring seamless communication and clarity at every step.
  • Innovate and Optimize: Design and implement cutting-edge governance processes for new projects and ongoing long-term Transformations. Leverage continuous improvement and lean data methodologies to elevate existing workflows, drawing on feedback from stakeholders, leadership, and team members.
  • Become a Trusted Expert: Build deep expertise in Talent Data Governance, including the nuances of sensitive data fields and their combinations, positioning yourself as a go-to resource for the organization.
  • Deliver with Precision: Take ownership of planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, and coordinating the successful delivery of governance projects and related initiatives.
  • Collaborate for Security and Compliance: Forge strong partnerships with Talent risk and data security teams to review and facilitate data access requests, ensuring robust protection and compliance.
  • Bridge Technical and Functional Needs: Translate complex Talent data governance challenges into clear technical and business language, fostering productive discussions with Deloitte Technology, Enterprise Data Governance, and stakeholder teams.

Training and Documentation

  • Empower Stakeholders: Create comprehensive toolkits and support materials that demystify approval processes, enabling stakeholders to navigate them with confidence.
  • Lead Engaging Training: Conduct dynamic training sessions on governance topics and processes, and work closely with stakeholders and support teams to ensure process documentation is always up to date and actionable.
  • Data Governance Champion: Educating peers on importance of the tools of Data Governance.

  • Ability to drive and manage multiple project workstreams independently, identifying interdependencies and prioritizing objectives and resources to drive expected outcomes.
  • Strong written communication and PowerPoint skills, including developing storyboards and creating compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • A quick grasp of data governance and security concepts, and ability to convey their importance
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • Data security and data governance and how it is applied in the professional services industry
    • The data lifecycle management and lean data methodology
    • Client-problem solving
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Word, Teams)

The team:

Deloitte's Talent Innovation and Solutions (TIS) team partners across the Talent organization, businesses and other enabling areas to cultivate a digitally mature organization that drives modernization, agility, and long-term value for Deloitte stakeholders. The TIS mission is to ensure Deloitte Talent sits squarely at the intersection of people, innovation, and operational excellence.

The TIS Digital and Analytics team implements core, firmwide Talent applications leveraged to support key Talent strategies and processes. As Talent identifies opportunities to transform the way we deliver services, technology solutions will need to be implemented or updated to provide an enhanced experience to our professionals and to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness improvements across Talent.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five years applied experience in data governance and/or data security
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel 0-5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a virtual team-based environment, partnering with leaders, practitioners, and professionals from complementary disciplines.
  • Active experience serving on workstreams for complex projects, liaising with internal client counterparts and participating in project management and delivery discussions.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600-$163,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
