Position Summary
Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You'll Do
Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Confluence and Jira;
• Conducting Unit Testing of Web Services and web applications using JUnit;
• Creating web applications using Java, RESTful Web Services, Apache Tomcat, jQuery, JavaScript, Java Server Pages (JSP), and Oracle to provide service and data to users;
• Developing domain classes and database access methods using Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) Drivers, Java, SQL, and Oracle;
• Designing and developing applications using Java, Spring Model-View-Controller (MVC), Apache Maven, Git, Postman and Weblogic Server to meet functional needs for software applications; and
• Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing Jira, Eclipse, Oracle SQL Developer, Postman, and Oracle WebLogic Server.
