Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Consultant in Hartford, Connecticut and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You'll Do
Drive software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; provide application analysis to meet software architecture and infrastructure goals. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, and coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that help businesses make better decisions. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:
- Utilizing SDLC (Software Development LifeCycle) and Agile Methodology to provide software advisory and implementation services for clients in the Financial Services industries or Energy and Utility industries;
- Developing functional specifications for custom development and interface with external systems by leveraging Rally, Microsoft Azure, functional, and business requirement documents;
- Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources, and monitoring project progress through use of Gantt charts and Kanban;
- Working across all phases of the Agile Scrum lifecycle to design, develop, test, and implement iterative market ready solutions for enterprise-level clients;
- Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate functional and technical requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that fully meet client needs, using context diagrams, use case diagrams, user journey mapping, and stakeholder interviews;
- Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes, and environments to support project design of future-state, to-be systems, processes, and environments by employing business rules, UI testing, user flow diagrams, Microsoft Visio, user interviews, and testing the application; and
- Designing and delivering user manuals and training for solutions to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and maintenance in client environments utilizing PowerPoints, Microsoft Excel, Visio Diagrams, Quality Tools, and strategic planning.
