Work You'll Do
Deloitte is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Senior Manager to lead our Life Sciences Commercial Operations practice, specializing in cutting-edge, AI-powered solutions for commercial operations (specializing in Dynamic targeting, Segmentation, Call Planning, Brand planning, Business Intelligence, etc). This strategic role demands a deep understanding of the life sciences industry, combined with expertise in leveraging AI and advanced analytics to drive transformative changes in commercial operations. The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and executing our go-to-market strategy, leading client engagements, building high-performing teams, and fostering innovation within the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the vision and strategy for Deloitte's Life Sciences Commercial Operations - AI & Data Driven Solutions practice. Identify emerging trends and develop innovative solutions to address client challenges.
- Client Engagement & Business Development: Cultivate and manage senior-level client relationships within leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech companies. Lead business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and securing new engagements.
- Solution Delivery & Innovation: Oversee the design and implementation of AI/ML models and advanced analytics solutions for Dynamic targeting, Segmentation, Call Planning, Brand planning, Business Intelligence, and other commercial operations challenges. Ensure solutions are scalable, robust, and deliver measurable business value.
- Practice Building & Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of consultants, data scientists, and engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Thought Leadership & Market Influence: Represent Deloitte as a thought leader in the field of AI-driven commercial operations. Publish articles, present at conferences, and contribute to industry forums.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in life sciences commercial operations, with a proven track record of success in incentive compensation, quota setting, and/or sales force effectiveness.
- 10 + years professional Life Sciences consulting experience driving commercial transformation and innovation for clients, to include data and AI in areas such as: Customer engagement, Field Force excellence and operations, Customer 360, and Sales & Marketing
- 4+ years of deep understanding of AI/ML techniques and their application to commercial operations challenges.
- 2+ years demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects, budgets, and teams.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
- Graduate degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in a relevant field (life sciences, engineering, data science, business).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Understanding of commercial data landscape, CRM Systems, sales force enablement technologies and emerging technologies (such as GenAI) and advanced data architectures (ie: Multimodal data management & model design, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Products, etc.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in life sciences data privacy and security.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at the executive level.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $158,900 to $292,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
