DaVita is currently recruiting for a Vice President of Organizational Change Management and Deployment - a newly created position based in Denver, CO. DaVita is looking for a leader for a team dedicated to implement major change projects using process improvement and change management methodologies.

General Position Description

  • This position plays a key role in deploying these best new processes and experiences and ultimately for driving best practices across DaVita clinics. The successful candidate for this role will have a driven attitude, be motivated by making a direct impact on the projects they are part of and will flourish in a highly dynamic team environment.
  • The candidate should possess strong project management, creative problem solving, strong business acumen and change management skills. This role entails managing cross functional deployment partners, collaborating with Pioneer, Clinical Enterprise, and IT leadership, and fine-tuning the way new processes roll out to the entire 2,400-clinic Village.
  • Additional traits needed to succeed include: analytical horsepower, clear and efficient communication, ability to work with cross-functional teams, persistence and executive influence, and solid organization.

  • Lead clinical business process changes and technology adoption
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
  • Critical thinking skills to understand the clinical transformation program strategy and translate those objectives into goals that ensure successful adoption
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs
  • Complete change management assessments
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Accountable to coordinate the implementation of clinical initiatives and features across markets
  • Actively guide market resources through deployments with detailed implementation guides, meeting facilitation, operational preparedness and go-live and support plans
  • Work in close collaboration with clinical transformation engagement team members, IT team and vendors to support internal implementation activities
  • Communicate any adjustments that are made to direction, activities, resources, pace, schedule, etc. as required to align projects with evolving Business Partner priorities, objectives and expectations
  • On-time and on-budget project delivery
  • Deliver new initiatives and technologies consistently in a highly-organized and high impact approach
  • Establishes multi-year, high level objectives/imperatives in line with overall company strategy + in-year goals as it relates to building capability to roll out changes effectively & efficiently
  • Ownership of key work streams, serving as a project/change management office for 5-8 deploying projects, managing a cross functional team of individuals to design, build and implement dynamic deployment plans
  • Travel required: Up to 30-40%

  • Successful candidate should be:
  • Effective at building professional relationships on a short time line, engaging all levels of leadership.
  • Sophisticated with established skills in large project change management, from when a solution is developed through successful deployment
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Proven track record in business engagement and deployment execution
  • Highly organized
  • Experienced with managing change across multiple lanes / departments
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's degree from a top-tier university highly preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in healthcare or operational/business setting demonstrating strong analytical skills; related analytical and/or consulting experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in healthcare is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated competence in structural business process/workflow design analysis, project management, change management and performance improvement experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma black belt certification a plus
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience directly managing people
  • Proven ability to develop communication strategy that serves varied constituents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working with executive leadership to efficiently report status, accomplishments, challenges and issues
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of implementation experience
  • Minimum of six (6) years project management, financial management experience
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts, $75M and above
  • Experience with clinical systems and technology adoption
  • Experience tracking vendor execution / milestone completion, and managing vendor invoices
  • Proven track record with on-time and on-budget project delivery
  • Strong management, inter-personnel, collaboration and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
