Sr. Director, Data Management
The Sr. Director, Data Management leads our data strategy and oversees data management functions. They champion data quality, security, and accessibility across our Village. As a key leader, they manage a team of data professionals and collaborate with IT, clinical, operational, and business teammates to support data-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance, and innovation in healthcare delivery and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the data management strategy in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead data governance programs to ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across systems and business units.
- Oversee the design, architecture, and operations of data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, master data management (MDM), and data integration tools.
- Manage a multi-functional team of data professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative culture.
- Collaborate with analytics, clinical informatics, business intelligence, and AI/ML teams to enable advanced analytics and insights for improved patient care, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) and internal security policies.
- Champion data modernization and adoption of emerging data technologies, including AI initiatives.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation for the Data Management function.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure data quality, availability, security, and team performance.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify data needs and prioritize strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in data management, data architecture, or data governance, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles managing teams.
- Experience leading data initiatives in complex organizations, ideally within the healthcare industry.
- Understanding of healthcare data domains, including EHRs, claims, clinical, operational, and financial data.
- Expertise in modern data architectures, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and contemporary data tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and data privacy laws.
- Leadership skills, including team building, mentoring, and talent development for diverse teams.
- Communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with technical teams.
- Experience in healthcare provider, payer, or health tech environments.
- Familiarity with interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare data exchange protocols.

The Salary Range for the role is $133,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year.
If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour, Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour
Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $17.66/hour, Burien: $21.16/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour, Renton: $20.90/hour, Seattle: $20.76/hour, Tukwila: $21.10/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
