Senior Developer Engineer

As a Developer, you will play a key role in the Patient Digital Next team by designing, building, testing, and deploying the next generation of mobile and web applications for our patients and teammates.

The candidate will exhibit passion for producing quality code, solving problems, and collaborating on solutions to improve our products. The majority of work efforts are hands on technical work, implementing monitoring solutions. Often this involves defining monitoring metrics/specifications or what we call Health Indicators. A developer builds to standards, creating monitoring from Detailed Architecture documentation and the associated data flow. In addition supporting Incidents, Problems and Change ITIL cycles for applications under monitoring. At times a developer will need to work with vendor support and work though tool issues. The support of all Application tiers across all SDLC environments to ascertain repeatable Monitoring Design deployment patterns is inherent to our success as a Team. A developer is mostly focused on day to day, yet looking forward, about 90 days for workflow bottlenecks.

We are seeking an Developer with proven public cloud experience (GCP) who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise scale solutions to support the organization's business strategy and goals . Candidate will also be responsible for guiding and mentoring other junior developers.

Job Description:

  • Design, development, implement, and support of various Clinical System Applications.
  • Work closely with our business product owners on an Agile team to fully understand requirements, provide feedback, and request clarification as needed.
  • Work with other engineers on a collaborative Agile team to deliver code on an ongoing basis.
  • Review requirements and data models and translate into responsible applications and architecture
  • Conduct design and code reviews with extended team to ensure that code meets standards
  • Problem solver that drives to root cause analysis.
  • Support test execution including system level and integration tests
  • Track and resolve software defects
  • Work with QA team for code build/releases, test case design and defect resolution
  • Work with Team Lead/Project Manager/Architect for planning, estimation, documentation and status reporting
  • Any other tasks necessary for completion of project deliverables and application support
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be able to adapt and contribute to a fast paced and agile application development
  • Adhere to project schedules, proactively resolve and or escalate issue to management
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Experience with working with offshore teams a plus
  • Demonstarted experience with bringing multiple products to market
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
  • GCP Cloud Services: Cloud functions, cloud storage, cloud pub/sub. cloud datastore, Cloud Memorystore, Cloud firestore
  • Platform/Infrastructure: Open ID, Prometheus, Kubernetes Engine, Cilium, Cloud IAM
  • Gateway: Spring Cloud, Frontend Solutions: Angular, TS
  • Backend Services: SpringBoot, Java
  • SDLC: Terraform, HELM, Gitlab
  • Skills in languages: Java and Angular
  • Experience in Cloud platform implementation
  • Kubernetes Experience
  • Professional development experience with SQL and NoSql databases
  • Object Oriented Design and Development experience
  • Understand of software design patterns
  • Applicant must work well under pressure
  • Understand the SAFE Agile framework
  • Knowledge of software craftsmanship and Agile best practices
  • Familiar with microservice architecture principle
  • Unit testing frameworks
  • Software Debugging
