The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Analyst opportunity on DaVita's Integrated Kidney Care (IKC) Finance Team (known internally as PEAK2) will be a quick-learner and ambitious with a strong sense of "team" and the keen ability to work well with others. The basic requirements for this role are a Bachelor's Degree (we need to be able to tell you like numbers!), work experience with complex problems, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong critical thinking skills.

  • The Senior Financial Analyst is a critical contributor within the PEAK2 finance team with exposure to business leaders of IKC. The role is suited for an individual who has strong analytics skills, demonstrates keen attention to detail, and is able to convey their insights in compelling presentations and narratives. In addition, we are looking for a team player who will serve as a functional expert and interact with operations at every level. We are looking for smart, talented and fun people to help drive financial performance and shape strategy for our Kidney Care business.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with their PEAK2 Finance Managers / Directors and build strong relationships with operational leadership to manage all aspects of the P&L and key business metrics and targets
  • Develop technically sound complex financial models and analysis
  • Controllership and ownership of annual budgets and forecasts in Excel, Anaplan, and other tools
  • Coordinate with the IKC Accounting team to ensure alignment of month-end close reporting
  • Provide insightful, timely, and accurate monthly financial reporting and variance analysis through the Monthly Financial Reporting package (MFR) as well as one-off analyses for IKC Finance Leadership and field operations management
  • Create and distribute financial reporting for internal and external partners
  • Create and manage teammate HC planning model and reporting to provide scenario planning and track against budget and forecasts
  • Team up with IKC Accounting to improve and support financial processes of accounting for program and market revenue and expense, accounts receivable, cash and related transaction analysis, and account reconciliation
Desired Qualifications
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience in a financial analyst role, consulting, or project management preferred but not required
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with and understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling or profitability analysis techniques preferred but not required
  • Experience with analytical methods and software, financial planning, accounting or other database systems such as Anaplan or Hyperion Essbase a plus
  • Intellectually curious, eager to learn and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Solid work ethic, including ability to follow-up, pay close attention to details and take initiative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: able to communicate effectively with teammates both internal and external to finance and at senior levels of the organization
  • Effective time management and organization skills even when unsupervised
