Sr. Analyst, Data Management

General Purpose of the Job

A senior analyst ensures delivery and maintenance of a multi-functional master data, metadata and governance system with defined data processes and procedures documented in a well-maintained platform. The individual will focus on determining, documenting, and managing a qualified record for key DaVita data domains through a combination of collaboration and influence. In addition, a senior analyst will ascertain, finalize, and document expected data quality that can be verified with predetermined measures. Other aspects of master data and metadata that the individual must obtain agreement and document include data lineage, data confidentiality, data consistency, data latency, and data process flows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work as subject matter expert in best practices for data governance and quality and ensure DaVita has appropriate safeguards in place
  • Demonstrate active guidance of specific data domains, processes, and procedures
  • Create/edit data requirements, data models, data dictionaries, process maps and data lineage/mapping
  • Utilize a standardized approach to capture and document master data and metadata across data domains
  • Communicate with representatives for stakeholders to obtain all required information necessary to determine and address their specific needs
  • Develop valuation and quality measures and share measures across businesses and enabling areas
  • Gather, document, and review data requirements with various business and data partners across the organization
  • Develop an understanding of DaVita's usage, capture and maintenance of data so as to manage, participate and influence the creation of master data and metadata in a data governance tool and formalized master data management platform
  • Collate requirements for data quality assessments
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor ongoing results, define process areas for review, and conduct benchmarking activities to ensure best in class results for data management
  • Be responsible for adherence to standards and controls, data quality, problem management, and change management requests
  • Team with the various Product Teams to establish synergies, standardization & best data practices
  • Review, measure, and report on master data quality on a regular cadence
  • Partner with the Data Product team to integrate governance practices as part of a project lifecycle including data migration activities
Education and Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in data management with demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and explain systems and approaches for data to enable business decisions
  • Mastery skill in relational database theories and schemes
  • Ability to influence and engage, strong communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and leaders by building trust and credibility
  • Ability to work in an environment that is ever changing
  • "Can do" attitude - willingness to accept challenges & solve problems both strategically and tactically
  • Excellent collaborative skills with ability to exhibit flexibility use diplomacy while remaining firm on agreed-upon principles\
  • Ability to maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused orientation, including providing clear, accurate information
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Technical, Data Science, Statistics

Salary/ Wage Range
$68,400.00 - $100,400.00 / year

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt:
•  New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year
•  Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year
•  Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year

New York Non-exempt:
•  New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour
•  Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour
•  Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour

Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year

Washington Non-exempt:
•  Bellingham: $17.66/hour
•  Burien: $21.16/hour
•  Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour
•  Renton: $20.90/hour
•  Seattle: $20.76/hour
•  Tukwila: $21.10/hour
•  Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
