Analytics Manager Draft Job Description:

We are seeking a professional to join our Payor Partnerships team as a Manager of Payor Analytics and Strategy. The Payor Partnerships team manages a $8B commercial revenue portfolio and leads the contracting process for DaVita's high-growth, national value-based care business that encompasses more than $5B of medical spend.

The manager will join the leadership team of the Payor Partnerships analytics function, which consists of 10+ teammates. The analytics function provides timely, comprehensive financial, strategic, and analytical support for external payor negotiations and internal decision-making processes and strategic planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive
  • Lead development and review of complex financial models that quantify economic impact of payor contracting proposals
  • Develop long-term portfolio-level financial forecast and provide routine updates to senior leadership and internal Finance partners
  • Provide analytical and strategic thought partnership in support of both high-visibility payor negotiations and portfolio-wide initiatives and projects
  • Create clear and effective presentation materials (i.e. PowerPoint decks) and present to senior leadership and cross-functional partner teams
  • Maintain and optimize suite of internal management reporting dashboards
  • Partner with internal revenue operations and IT teammates to ensure usability and integrity of key data feeds
  • Build relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders and drive change through cross-functional project management
  • Proactively manage analytics project queue and assign and prioritize work across analyst teammates
  • Directly manage analyst and senior analyst teammates and provide training, coaching, and developmental feedback
  • Recruit, hire, and retain analyst-level talent
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 years minimum of work experience; experience managing direct reports preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Strong analytical horsepower with proven ability to navigate complexity and roadblocks
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated strengths in critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills
  • High impact verbal and written communication style
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving work environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with using and querying relational database management systems (e.g. SQL) a plus
  • Proficiency with analytical tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx) a plus
  • Healthcare experience a plus, particularly in managed care
