The Wellness Consultant works in partnership with a dedicated account management team to consult with a large existing public and labor account in Houston, Texas.This is a remote/field-based position requiring travel 2-3 days a week within the Houston area. - Educates and/or consults with the customer on the best use of Aetna's current wellness offerings.
- Plans, implements, manages, and evaluates wellness programs that reduce health risks, reduce health care costs, and reduce employee absenteeism due to illness, disability, or existing diseases.
- Plans and manages various on- site wellness events, health improvement programs and seminars.
- Works with community wellness professionals and vendors to facilitate community-based events and relationships.
- Delivers external training focused on wellness programs by preparing and presenting materials related to population health management.
- 3+ years of experience with healthy lifestyle coaching for weight management, tobacco cessation, nutrition, physical activity and/or stress
- management.
- Experience in facilitating patient/client positive behavioral change.
- Experience in public speaking/ presenting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, problem solve, and work effectively with people, use good judgment in new and challenging situations.
- Must be able to travel to onsite client locations within the Houston area
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office applications, such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Registered Dietitian
- Health coaching certification
- Experience in motivational interviewing and active listening
- Experience with the Transtheoretical Model of Change, mindfulness-based and other evidence-based coaching techniques.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills
- Strong desires to coach, motivate, and support members
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
- Bi-Lingual in English & Spanish

The typical pay range for this role is:$60,300.00 - $132,600.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
