We're seeking a seasoned Software Developer to help build and evolve a modern, cloud-native microservices platform supporting our core Medicare sales verticals. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and HIPAA-compliant services that integrate with enterprise systems and support real-time data flows. You'll play a key role in defining DevOps and data engineering practices, coordinating closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams to drive modernization, automation, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices using modern cloud-native frameworks and tools.
  • Build secure, scalable APIs and backend services in a HIPAA-regulated environment.
  • Help define CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code standards, and observability practices in collaboration with DevOps.
  • Shape real-time data ingestion and analytics pipelines in partnership with data engineering and analytics teams.
  • Coordinate with product teams to align technical delivery with business goals and customer needs.
  • Contribute to the implementation of AI-powered tools and automation strategies that enhance performance and engagement.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional backend software development experience, ideally with relative experience in cloud-native environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, Java).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and serverless platforms.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, and monitoring stacks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC2).
  • Exposure to customer data platforms (CDPs), data lakes, or real-time analytics pipelines.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and event-driven architectures.
  • Background in sales, marketing, or customer engagement systems.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required.
Master's degree preferred but not required.Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
