- Leads the architectural vision and system design for a sprint team using a modern technology stack with a core focus on reusability, scalability and performance at scale
- Contribute to all aspects of SDLC process (SCRUM, Design, Code, Test, Deploy & Maintain)
- Collaborate with Product, UX and other Engineering teams
- Collaborate with Platform team and evangelize architectural best practices for scalability and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and instill best practices on the rest of the team
- Partner with product team to define the technical debt backlog improving maintainability
- Mentor team members
- Implement SecDevops best practices
- Other duties as assigned
We're looking for a professional with:
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related degree / industry experience
- Experience leading an agile team in delivering products
- 10+ years of experience building consumer-facing products using any SPA frameworks (Angular/React/Vue) and building restful API Services using JVM-based technologies (Kotlin or Java), APIs running in the cloud
- Expert in distributed systems, cloud-based environment either in Azure/AWS using Docker/Kubernetes
- Expert in "design first," documenting technical designs, and being able to decompose the design into consumable stories for your team.
- Must have experience with event-driven architecture, with Kafka being preferred.
- Expert in unit and integration testing with ability to achieve 80% + code coverage.
- Expert in building cloud native scalable microservices
- Experience working in an Agile/Devops environment
- Familiarity with our tech stack - JVM-based technologies, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, cloud-based blob storage, OpenAPI

The typical pay range for this role is:$106,605.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
