• Leads the architectural vision and system design for a sprint team using a modern technology stack with a core focus on reusability, scalability and performance at scale
• Contribute to all aspects of SDLC process (SCRUM, Design, Code, Test, Deploy & Maintain)
• Collaborate with Product, UX and other Engineering teams
• Collaborate with Platform team and evangelize architectural best practices for scalability and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and instill best practices on the rest of the team
• Partner with product team to define the technical debt backlog improving maintainability
• Mentor team members
• Implement SecDevops best practices
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related degree / industry experience
• Experience leading an agile team in delivering products
• 10+ years of experience building consumer-facing products using any SPA frameworks (Angular/React/Vue) and building restful API Services using JVM-based technologies (Kotlin or Java), APIs running in the cloud
• Expert in distributed systems, cloud-based environment either in Azure/AWS using Docker/Kubernetes
• Expert in "design first," documenting technical designs, and being able to decompose the design into consumable stories for your team.
• Must have experience with event-driven architecture, with Kafka being preferred.
• Expert in unit and integration testing with ability to achieve 80% + code coverage.
• Expert in building cloud native scalable microservices
• Experience working in an Agile/Devops environment
• Familiarity with our tech stack - JVM-based technologies, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, cloud-based blob storage, OpenAPI
