And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Position Summary: CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr Software Development Engineer to Design, develop, and implement computer databases and database management systems. Duties include: perform database administration, upgrades, migration, and performance analysis for Oracle database performance issues and testing; review system design documents for new business projects; perform database upgrades, migration, and patching; conduct systems analysis to identify and resolve database issues and improve functionality with a focus on performance, capacity, and scalability; design project architecture and configure and build applications; test systems, conduct feasibility studies, and implement security measures to safeguard data; develop reports, dashboards, and forecasting to support data analytics; create database architecture and support data migration from various sources to SQL Server; lead design and development of web projects and determine feasibility of solutions design; understand client business problems, evaluate emerging software technologies, and recommend solutions; coordinate between business teams and provide technical support to junior developers; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; and collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Multiple positions.Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience in each of the following: Oracle technologies and performance engineering; RAC 12c/19c databases; Active/Active Golden gate replication implementation; Oracle PLSQL, Oracle Veridata, Oracle Streams, MariaDB, MySQL, or RMAN(backup/recovery); Unix Shell Scripting and Unix commands; Oracle RAC implementations; Network infrastructure components, systems management tools and database management systems; and Distributed systems, Web-centric architectures, various hardware components.Pay Range: $119725.00/year to $196000.00/year.This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
