- Spearhead the development and execution of capital and strategic planning efforts for Clinical Operations.
- Formulate comprehensive business cases for new strategic proposals aimed at optimizing efficiencies in Prior Authorization and Clinical Programs.
- Creating new processes to effectively manage the capital planning function, securing necessary funding for technological initiatives
- Create self-serve capabilities for capital function
- Engage in discussions about emerging technologies and assess use cases for Clinical Operations
- Perform in-depth data analysis utilizing SQL and other analytical tools to strengthen business case development.
- Strategically design and implement planning activities that engage all relevant stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate well with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Forecasting, Operations, Analytics, Behavior Change, Trade, Product, Regulatory, Legal, and more.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes, identifying financial trends and reporting on budget differences
- Evaluate and articulate the value or challenges of proposed initiatives, shaping the overall roadmap for technology projects.
- Document and enforce comprehensive processes for the function to ensure efficiency, compliance, and accountability.
- Deliver strategic recommendations and updates to executive leadership, showcasing financial performance and savings from cross-departmental collaborations.
- Oversee the implementation of cost-saving measures and efficiencies, accurately tracking and reporting on quantifiable outcomes.
- Cultivate and develop a high-performing team, instilling a culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and continual improvement.
- Mentor and guide team members, promoting their professional growth and skill enhancement.
- 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, capital management, or similar roles preferably within a clinical or healthcare setting.
- 2+ years expertise in managing substantial budget and savings goals, paired with strong financial acumen.
- 2+ years analytical capabilities and proficiency in SQL, with the capacity to extract and interpret complex datasets.
- Knowledge of pharmacy prior authorization and clinical programs
- Familiarity with CVS Caremark's Clinical Operations Products - CAS, Medhok, Novologix, and CRxM
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to track, measure, and report on savings generated from collaborative initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of engaging effectively with executive leadership.
- Proven capability to influence decision-making and advance strategic initiatives in association with various departments.
- Strong leadership skills, along with a history of successfully leading and developing teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to implement and sustain structured processes.
- Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
The typical pay range for this role is:$67,900.00 - $165,954.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
