CVS Healthspire Life Sciences Solutions Real-World Evidence organization offers analytical and advisory services that meet the market and clinical challenges faced by pharmaceutical, biotech, and device companies. Our services use real world data, advanced technologies, and professional know-how to illuminate therapeutic and economic value. We offer collaborative resources across CVS to promote forward-looking research into real-world outcomes and the realities of therapeutic use in genuine clinical settings. We also collaborate with internal business partners, government agencies and academic institutions to conduct public health, epidemiology, RWE, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and safety surveillance studies by leveraging the rich and extensive data assets within CVS.We are seeking a skilled and research driven Sr. Decision Scientist to lead and support strategic, data-driven initiatives that enhance clinical trial recruitment. In this role, you will apply your analytical expertise and healthcare data experience to support recruitment and real-world evidence studies. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, lead projects, and translate data into solutions that drive the success of our clinical trial business.

Fundamental Components/Job Description:
  • Lead development and implementation for clinical trial recruitment campaigns.
  • Collaborate with business partners, clients, and internal stakeholders to understand research objectives and deliver on project goals.
  • Identify gaps in recruitment operations and design scalable, and compliant solutions.
  • Design and manage cross-functional initiatives, coordinating between clinical teams, data engineering, operations, and external partners.
  • Develop comprehensive recruitment strategies for each clinical trial, including identification of target populations and selection of recruitment channels.
  • Utilize healthcare data (claims, EMR/EHR, pharmacy) to identify eligible populations and build precision recruitment strategies.
  • Analyze and extract insights using SQL and Python (or SAS), working with large-scale datasets stored in cloud and other data environments.
  • Generate patient counts to support project feasibility assessments.
Required Qualifications
  • 5 + years of strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python (or SAS) for data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
  • 3 + years of deep experience working with claims data, EMR/EHR data, and pharmacy data in healthcare or clinical research settings.
  • 2 + years of hands-on experience with Google BigQuery or equivalent cloud data platforms.
  • 2+ years of extensive experience in Data visualization and dashboard creating using Tableau, PowerBI etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical trial recruitment, with a demonstrated ability to implement effective, data-driven enrollment strategies.
  • Experience in life sciences, CRO, or healthcare analytics organizations.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical and analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred. May consider comparable work experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
