This Senior Data Scientist role on the finance analytics team will focus on building and deploying analytical models that help the PBM (Pharma Benefits Management) business meet its client and pharmacy guarantees. This team works on forecasting and optimization models to optimize drug level pricing tied to 95M Americans. The outcome of these models (recommended prices) have delivered over $200M value to Aetna and Caremark.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or PhD with fellowship experience in:
    • Extracting actionable insights from the analysis and interpreting outcomes of complex models to present to business audiences including technical, non-technical, and senior leaders
    • Preparing data for analysis, working with data engineering team to create modeling dataset, assess completeness and quality of data, and perform feature engineering
    • Communicating effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members, and senior management
    • 3+ years of experience with Gurobi Optimization with a proven ability to d evelop and implement mathematical models using Gurobi for various optimization problem types (e.g., LP, MIP).
    • Demonstrated understanding of various optimization modeling including linear and non-linear optimization.
    • 2 or more years of experience using AI coding platforms including Copilot, Cursor AI.
    • Data preparation tools, data warehousing, and ETL Demonstrated knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources
    • Working with data and have a strong understanding of analytics and how it is leveraged within the healthcare/retail industry
    • 2+ years of experience applying modern machine learning techniques to build predictive models for both classification and regression problems
    • 2+ years in a client-facing role with experience creating detailed reports of modeling results for different stakeholders.
    • 2+ years' experience with general linear models including regression techniques and optimization models
  • 3 or more years of experience in Python and SQL is a must.
  • 3 or more years of experience with GCP cloud computing software for cloud storage, machine learning, and networking including Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud storage, Big Query, Vertex AI, and cloud load balancing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in most areas of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling and in-depth specialization in some areas
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Tableau development, including Tableau Desktop and Server.
  • Strong Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
  • Ability to anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur
  • Experience with statistical measurements including experimental design, test and control selection, performance reporting and tracking, etc.
  • Experience in deploying ML models to production and developing CI/CD pipelines

The typical pay range for this role is:$83,430.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
