Software Development Engineer (Full Stack Java/ Cloud)

Designs, develops, and implements solutions in Java programming to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of core engineering projects.What you will do
- Designs and defines the technical architecture and infrastructure required for migrating parts of AS400/ IBM i-series application to Java based application hosted in Cloud.
- Writes secure Java code, develops secure Java software components, and implements complex functionalities according to project requirements.
- Collaborates with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, proposes design patterns, and ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability of core application.
- Leverages advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency.
- Integrates various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the core application.
- Writes and executes comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging, and troubleshoots issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of core application.
- Participates in agile or other development methodologies, attends meetings, contributes to project planning, and helps drive the progress and success of core application projects.
- Explores new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation, including secure system designs, secure architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration.
- 3+ years enterprise / web / cloud applications software development experience
- 3+ years of experience in Developing Java applications in Spring boot, Spring MVC
- 3+ years of experience in Creating Angular / React JS UI Applications
- 3+ years of experience in Building APIs and services using REST and JUnit Testing
- 3+ Automation technologies (e.g., Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, etc.)
- 3+ Building, testing, and deploying code to run on Google cloud infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience in Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Interested to learn and work on AS400/ RPG/ SYNON.
- Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
- Exposure to product/services development and public cloud environment like AWS/GCP/Azure
- Experience in automation, DevOps, and associated build /deployment CI/CD pipelines
- Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

The typical pay range for this role is:$72,100.00 - $144,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
