As the Account Lead within the Strategy & Pipeline Team in Specialty Pharmacy, you will focus on developing innovative specialty programs and securing access to limited distribution drugs. You will partner with Specialty Trade and pharmaceutical manufacturer clients to conceive and execute on services that differentiate CVS Health as the premier Specialty Pharmacy provider. You will develop novel strategies and lead initiatives that focus on maximizing value to the enterprise through partnerships with Trade and pharmaceutical manufacturers. In addition to driving strategic solutions, you will manage key projects, align internal stakeholders on progress and coordinated execution.Additionally, you will stay abreast of the Specialty pipeline along with trends in the marketplace to ensure CVS Health secures access to limited distribution drugs. You will provide support to Trade and Clinical Management to pursue access opportunities with pipeline pharma. You will also provide consultative support to Trade and Account Management to pursue access opportunities with existing pharma. You will additionally collaborate with Pharmacy Trade Product, Specialty Operations, Professional Practice, Prescriber Sales and other internal business partners to ensure alignment of services and identify opportunities to drive value from pharma relationships.A strong account management background with a high level of independent judgement and initiative is required. - Drive omnichannel pharmacy care delivery solutions aimed at enhancing value for CVS enterprise and business partners based on evolving marketplace trends. Utilize market intelligence, client requests and organic innovation to develop new and novel pharmacy programs/products that optimize patient care and pharmacy services. Creatively leverage enterprise assets to create opportunities and programs to enhance and support our manufacturer client offerings. Interpret data to build actionable insights to improve the product or identify new opportunities and be able to speak to those insights internally or externally in a clear and simple way.
- Support and lead the strategy and development of specialty pharmacy programs in collaboration with Trade and drug manufacturers. Partner with Specialty Trade, Clinical Managers and Pharmacy Product teams to consult, create business proposals, pursue Legal vetting and approval, and define scope of services. Engage cross-functionally across the enterprise (Trade, Clinical Management, Pharmacy Trade Product, Operations, Account Management, Prescriber Sales, Marketing, Specialty Strategy, etc.) to design solutions and ensure effective execution. Manage key initiatives by creating project plans, maintaining project timelines, providing status reports, coordinating action items, communicating key milestones and risks to stakeholders, delivering executive summaries and tracking effective execution of deliverables with internal business partners.
- Develop relationships and enhanced collaboration with Specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers. Monitor the pipeline, supporting therapy capabilities and request for proposals (RFPs) to secure access, and drive accelerated partnerships as a thought leader. Serve as a strategy consultant to support Account and Clinical Managers access activities to drive consistency while optimizing quality of content and messaging.
- Serve as an the enterprise expert and stay abreast of marketplace trends to ensure CVS Health develops and offers competitive programs to drive improved outcomes. Elevate external market eminence through conference support and other opportunities to drive marketplace visibility.
- 7+ years of related work experience
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to think and plan strategically to generate value from intellectual or knowledge based assets
- Ability to work across boundaries and collaborate with internal colleagues and external clients
- Deep understanding of Specialty Pharmacy with an aptitude to learn about newly emerging therapies and needs
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time
- High level of independent judgment and initiative
- Knowledge and confidence to present and interact with senior leadership and large audiences of clinical professionals, executives, clients and customers
- Demonstrated experience in defining, organizing and leading cross-functional projects
- Strong project management skills including attention to detail, follow-up and working to tight deadlines
- Ability to prepare materials and present to a variety of audiences of scope and size
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and presentation materials
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience)

The typical pay range for this role is:$67,900.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
