And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Position SummaryCVS Health, one of the top health solutions companies in the United States, is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Program Delivery to support the development and execution of operational and business unit strategic plans. You will work on a team to instill best in class policies, procedures, and plans for designated priority areas.
This is a highly visible and collaborative position supporting managing strategic programs and projects and delivering on key initiatives for the Aetna COO and senior leadership team. This role works in close partnership with colleagues from across all lines of business, operational areas, and the shared services teams.
This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company's business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders, requiring the candidate to be highly effective in a matrixed environment and possess the ability to navigate the organization and quickly build understanding of different businesses.
This position can be office-based or remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as a top-level specialist in project management, providing experience-based guidance and mentorship to support successful project execution.
- Adapts project management methodologies and best practices to meet the unique needs of each project and ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Advises project teams and stakeholders on project management principles, practices, and approaches to enhance project outcomes and mitigate risks.
- Applies highly developed project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Approves project plans, budgets, and resource allocations, authorizing project initiation and ensuring adherence to project governance and standards.
- Benchmarks project performance against industry standards, best practices, and key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving excellence.
- Checks project deliverables, milestones, and timelines to ensure timely and accurate project completion, providing guidance and support to project teams as needed.
- Coaches project managers and team members, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to enhance work area project management skills and contribute to key professional growth.
- Consults on project management practices, processes, and tools, collaborating with stakeholders to establish effective project management frameworks and ensure successful project outcomes.
- 7+ years of work experience in health care, insurance or related field
- 5+ years of experience in strategic program/project management
- Experience creating PowerPoint deck designs and presentations
- Strong relationship management and collaborating with cross functional teams experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
The typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
