And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Position SummaryCVS Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives to support the Healthspire Payor & Life Sciences Solutions and PBM Product lines of business. Under the leadership of the Lead Director, Strategic Initiatives, you will lead cross-functional strategy activities, identify and evaluate growth opportunities on a recurring basis, and drive early-stage business development efforts that will ultimately address critical business challenges and growth opportunities, driving significant value for CVS Health.You will work closely with business leaders, finance partners and cross-functional stakeholders to help drive the business forward through the identification and execution of key initiatives that advance our portfolio objectives. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role ideal for a strong strategist who loves healthcare innovation and knows how to get things done.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic assessments, opportunity sizing, and business case development for new initiatives across the business that have the potential to drive a sizeable impact in both the near and distant future.
  • Support long-term strategic planning and roadmap development for emerging products and solutions.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to validate new opportunities across all in-scope business areas.
  • Develop and maintain key strategic artifacts (strategic planning toolkit, dashboards, environment scans, KPIs, executive readouts).
  • Own project management of early-stage builds, pilots, or validation efforts in partnership with product and operational teams.
  • Operate as a thought partner to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and other senior leaders.
To be a candidate for this role you will possess the following:
  • Healthcare industry basics including how health plans work, how PBMs work, where value is generated across the value chain, key levers that drive decision making by healthcare leadership.
  • Understanding of the current state of healthcare while identifying emerging trends and prioritizing opportunities to leapfrog competition.
  • Ability to formulate ideas and innovate without prompting and knowing when to bring in leadership for guidance and approvals.
This position is a remote position. Candidates can live anywhere in the US.Required Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of experience in strategy consulting, healthcare innovation, corporate strategy, or strategic program management.
  • Extensive experience developing business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations.
  • Exposure to strategic finance, including how to evaluate companies' financial health and how to size potential opportunities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving results in complex corporate environments.
  • Experience influencing a wide array of stakeholders, including those who are much more senior, to collect information, drive consensus, and develop recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior consulting experience.
  • Experience in the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) industry.
  • Experience leading Go-To-Market activities within pharmacy benefits management (PBM) or healthcare space.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred (MBA, MS in a related field).
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$75,400.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
