The Program Manager will develop a deep understanding of the business and the business needs, build close relationships with key stakeholders, and influence the finance roadmap for the product. The role will work closely with technical teams in both analytics and IT to facilitate a strong relationship to support the vision through clear prioritization and value proposition for Underwriting. You will be accountable for supporting the development team and users to facilitate resolution, communication, and training on fully tested solutions to meet the business needs.

This is a unique role that leverages the ability to combine business and technology acumen to operate as a detail-oriented expert.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in crafting the vision and business cases to support the prioritization and development of capabilities to effectively deliver value to users, customers, and the business.
  • Champions strong product management acumen including agile mindsets and values by actively identifying opportunities, coaching accordingly, and communicating team wins.
  • Manage, organize, and prioritize Underwriting feedback with product teams while ensuring visibility from planning through support with key stakeholders.
  • Support Objectives & Key Result (OKR) development and successful execution across key stakeholders to demonstrate value, product outcomes, and overall program ROI.
  • Be customer obsessed. Demonstrate a deep understanding of direct / indirect end users through conducting interviews/focus groups to generate strategic insights that deliver on value-add functionality.
  • Build relationships with users/customers, IT delivery team and other key stakeholders/business partners.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment across both legacy and new applications to ensure consistency; foster collaboration across all dependencies and deliverables.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop the Product and Underwriting Team across key areas related to colleague performance and engagement.
  • Establish controls and standard operating procedures that drive next-level efficiencies and quality across the product ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience in a Product Owner or Program Management role.
  • 3+ years leadership experience, either directly or indirectly managing a team and coaching/mentoring a diverse group of colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years in product/program execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting product development).
  • 3+ years using product management tools (e.g. JIRA, Rally), user feedback (e.g. MS Forms), and cross-functional collaboration (e.g. SharePoint, Teams).
  • Prior experience working on the optimization of financial applications with a customer centric approach.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of PBM industry or pharmaceuticals.
  • Excellent relationship management and the ability to work across business units within a complex organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to successfully engage with Senior Leaders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, experience prioritizing work and communicating in a manner that is clear, logical, consistent, and effective.
  • Experience working with IT and Agile methodology.
  • Experience leading enterprise projects or relevant Project and/or Product Management experience.
  • Experience building and facilitating presentations to various audiences.
  • Master's Degree or MBA.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
