Senior Manager, PBM Product Strategy & Ops

As a Product Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of our PBM product portfolio. This role centers on two primary areas: leading and supporting product strategy and innovation for new product ideas and launches, and executing pricing strategies that support current portfolio products. While these will be key focus areas, the role also offers flexibility to contribute to other strategic initiatives across the organization.
You will be responsible for identifying and developing new product ideas, navigating ambiguity to bring concepts from ideation through commercialization. This includes staying attuned to market trends and competitive dynamics, and creating and defending business cases that support investment decisions. You will also help execute pricing strategies-such as TrueCost-and support internal and external stakeholders with initiatives that enhance product uptake and operational alignment.Key Responsibilities Include:Product Strategy & Innovation
- Lead new product ideation and development, transforming abstract concepts into actionable solutions
- Navigate complex and ambiguous product opportunities, applying structured thinking to define scope, value, and execution pathways
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform product strategy and identify whitespace opportunities
- Create and defend business cases that articulate strategic rationale, financial impact, and go-to-market plans
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across product, finance, operations, and leadership
- Execute pricing strategies including TrueCost, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs
- Support internal teams (e.g., finance, sales, operations) with pricing-related initiatives and product enablement
- Partner with external stakeholders to drive understanding and adoption of product capabilities
- Contribute to process improvements and operational strategies that support scalable product delivery
- High accountability, independence, and ownership of complex, often ambiguous initiatives
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to assess opportunities, build business cases and have the experience and maturity to defend your idea(s) and make informed decisions
- Contain executive presence and storytelling skills
- Excellent communication skills to influence and align stakeholders across varying levels of the organization
- Adaptability and curiosity to learn quickly and pivot as needed
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across teams
- This is a fully remote role. Candidates may reside anywhere within the U.S.
- 5+ years of experience within healthcare or related industries. Ideal experience in PBM pricing, enterprise strategy, enterprise sales, or product marketing
- 2+ years of client facing experience managing customers
- 7+ years of total professional work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, ROIC modeling, and using the appropriate meme during a teams call
- Comfortable with up to 15% of travel
- Proven success in developing and launching new products, taking ideas from concept to commercialization, and a strong executive presence
- Self-sufficient operator mindset that can develop a strategy, determine the gaps, and execute a project plan
- Understanding of the PBM industry and its evolving landscape, and have conviction on where the market could be in 3-5 years
- Start-up experience is preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA a bonus, but not required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
The typical pay range for this role is:$67,900.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
