We are looking for strategic, innovative leaders in marketing, customer experience, and service design who are ready to think big and push boundaries to deliver impactful results for our customers and our business.As the Sr. Manager of Retail Brand Experience Strategy, you will be instrumental in crafting engaging and memorable experiences within our CVS Pharmacy locations. You will develop and execute insights-driven retail brand experience strategies and activation plans for high-visibility in-store initiatives including our signature seasonal experiences, merchandising tests, and category reinventions. This role is pivotal in enhancing customer engagement and driving in-store sales. You will report directly to the Director of Editorial Marketing and Standards within the Store Experience Marketing team and will have one direct report.Key Responsibilities:

  • Retail Experience Strategy:
    • Develop and implement retail brand experience strategies that align with business and merchandising objectives and customer needs, leveraging insights from diverse data sources to map key shopper journeys and experiences.
    • Lead the strategic brief and development process to enhance consumer decision-making and revenue, optimizing existing tactics while ideating and piloting new approaches.
    • Pr oactively staying on top of internal and external insights related to their workstreams, visiting participating stores, engaging in competitor analysis and providing insights led recommendations that optimize the work and/or unlock new ideas.
    • Develop and launch customer and colleague surprise and delight strategies and tactics based on campaign objectives.
    • Collaborate with the Director to establish learning agendas and KPIs.
  • Experience Delivery:
    • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of campaigns and projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets while proactively managing risks and communicating progress to leadership with strategic solutions.
    • Manage day-to-day relationships with agency partners, providing timely, constructive, and actionable feedback to enhance collaboration.
    • Managing the project & campaign budget and providing strategic recommendations that optimize expenses based on results .
    • Identify, propose, and implement process improvements or better ways of working to drive efficiency and speed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Manage and build relationships with peers and Director and across key teams to successfully execute projects, including - Delivery Management, Marketing, Store Experience, Merch, RX, Creative, Ops, Finance, Construction/A&E, Insights, Legal/Clinical and vendor partners.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Coach and mentor direct report(s), providing specific performance feedback and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
    • Review and approve briefs and work output from direct report to ensure alignment with strategic goals and brand standards.
  • Required Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
    • 7+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation in retail marketing, visual merchandising, or related fields, demonstrating a track record of creating engaging and results-focused in-store experiences.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Strategic thinking, with the ability to craft experience strategies and translate them into actionable plans and drive successful execution.
    • Self-motivated and adept at thriving in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, making thoughtful decisions under tight deadlines.
    • Proven ability to collaborate and drive successful outputs on projects in partnership with internal and external stakeholders within a highly matrixed organization.
    • Strong understanding of retail trends, strategy frameworks, and a creative approach to developing unique retail experiences.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences effectively, including senior leadership.
    • Strong business acumen, data-driven mindset, and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
    • Experience leading creative agency collaborations, providing strategic direction, and ensuring alignment with brand and campaign strategy.
    • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
    • Experience in coaching and developing a high-performing team.
    • Experience managing and optimizing budgets for multi-faceted campaigns.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Workfront and Medallia.

The typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
