CVS Health is looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Communications to join our External Affairs team. In this role, you will be focused on assisting the External Affairs team with developing and executing on media relations plans and supporting media engagement for the Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness and Health Care Delivery businesses. This role will work cross-functionally, providing strategic counsel, execution support, media relations planning and strategy development for the Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness (PCW) business. An ideal candidate is someone who is organized, thorough and results-driven, can manage multiple projects, has strong experience developing and driving external communications, is comfortable in a fast-paced and fluid environment. Strong storytelling skills are a must.Responsibilities include:
- Support development and execution of integrated external public relations plans to drive awareness of CVS Pharmacy programs and initiatives.
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to PCW business on external communications/media relations approach and execution for key business initiatives
- Provide issues and crisis management support, counsel and execution.
- Develop and build relationships with internal stakeholders and provide communications support as needed.
- Evaluate potential media opportunities and develop messaging to respond to media inquiries.
- Manage CVS Pharmacy's media training program for retail pharmacists and store managers, including sourcing new spokespeople, topics covered, markets pitched, etc.
- Draft, edit and finalize communications materials (press releases, talking points, briefing packages, etc.) for maximum impact and clarity.
- Assist in the reporting and presentation of metrics for key initiatives and launches.
- Contribute to and maintain team process and reporting documents and project plans, including a calendar of events, media inquiries rollup, etc.

- Minimum of 7+ years of business experience in media relations. A focus on health care, consumer health, or retail is preferred .
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to present information and share points of view clearly, succinctly, and persuasively.
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, story-telling, and external communications, ideally including retail and/or consumer health care products and services, and close collaboration with cross-functional business partners.
- Ability to build relationships, collaborate with other communication professionals, and key stakeholders at more senior levels, including senior executives, toward a common goal.
- Ability to plan work to achieve larger project goals within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Superb writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Experience working with external agencies and/or as part of an agency overseeing public relations and media relations on behalf of a business.
- Experience supporting executive thought leadership including media, speaking events and social media content.
- Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and working in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, Business, or related field required.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
