Senior Manager, Care Program Strategy

Aetna Better Health of Florida (ABH-FL) is searching for a Senior Manager, Care Program Strategy who will be an analytics leader for specialty and chronic disease management care programs serving Medicaid and CHIP members. This role will focus on analysis of broad sources of data to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our care programs. Your work will allow Plan leaders to holistically understand the needs of defined populations, to design comprehensive evidence-based programs, to identify trends and track outcomes of the programs, with a goal to enable more targeted and impactful interventions. This role requires a blend of strong analytical skills, business acumen, and leadership abilities.This role reports to the Director of Strategy and works closely with the Plan's CEO, Director of Population Health, Director of Behavioral Health, and the Health Services Officer.Job duties:

  • Responsible for analysis supporting the development, coordination and implementation of initiatives and programs to achieve transformational improvements in population health outcomes.
  • Participate in the design of programs that promote preventative care, chronic disease management, and overall wellness.
  • Participate in the development of initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes and optimizing value-based-care performance.
  • Manage all data on outcomes and resultant total cost of care improvement to ensure we can tell the story of the care programs with applicable evidence.
  • Collaborate with care teams, strategic providers, and community resources to ensure a full understanding of the care programs operation and measuring progress to outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Quality Management to ensure quality goals and improved outcomes are achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (provider engagement, network management, community development, etc.) as needed.
  • Regular (weekly, monthly) reporting to Plan leaders on all stages of analyses.
  • Accountability and/or Quality Review for all regulatory reporting aligned to these programs
  • Work directly with Product team leaders to ensure a full understanding of how existing Expanded Benefits and Incentives are designed and can be obtained. Bring feedback and insights to the Product team to improve the offerings and delivery of these benefits and incentives.
  • Participation in RFP and contract implementations as an analytical leader of the Plan's care programs.
  • As part of the health plan strategy team, this colleague will also work on special projects at the direction of the Director of Strategy.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • 5 plus years of experience with SQL, SAS & Power BI
  • 5 years of experience working with large and detailed data sets is required.
  • Advanced technical/analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and fingerprinting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) is preferred.
  • This is a WAH/remote role, Florida residency preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree with or equivalent work experience in managed care, Medicaid and/or population health care programs.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$75,400.00 - $165,954.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
