We're looking for a Senior Data Architect to help scale and mature our Databricks-based data platform on AWS. You'll play a key role in designing and optimizing our lakehouse architecture, building resilient data pipelines, and enabling secure and scalable analytics across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Design and scale Databricks Lakehouse architecture on AWS to support diverse data workloads.
  • Architect, develop and maintain robust and reusable data pipelines using Databricks (PySpark/Python) for structured and unstructured data.
  • Implement and optimize Delta Lake structures and data modeling strategies.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for notebooks and job workflows , support version control and automated testing.
  • Optimize compute costs, cluster configs, and query performance across the platform.
  • Configure and manage Unity Catalog for access control, lineage, and data security.
  • Partner with DevOps, Cloud, and Analytics teams to align infrastructure and business needs.
  • Act as a technical mentor to the engineering team; help with upskilling and best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Deep experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda).
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including cloud-based platforms (Preferred AWS).
  • Strong hands-on skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience with data orchestration and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Understanding of data quality, performance tuning, and governance principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Databricks Certification(s).
  • Experience integrating Databricks with enterprise data tools.
  • Exposure to real-time data pipelines or streaming solutions.
  • Managed Healthcare experience or knowledge of health insurance concepts, preferably Risk adjustment

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent work experience *Preferred.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
