Senior Data Analyst, CSR & Sustainability

This position is responsible for supporting Enterprise sustainability data collection and analysis, including energy and emissions, plastic, water, and waste, among others. The Senior Analyst, Sustainability Data will collect data across the enterprise for annual ESG reporting projects, including social program data such as philanthropy, human capital, DEI, supply chain/procurement, etc. They will maintain sustainability data dashboards, analyze trends and projections, maintain data systems, input data into data platforms, work with SMEs to address data quality issues, and track progress to ESG goals and roadmap.Stakeholder Communication/Engagement:
- Liaison with key partners across the business for data collection of social programs, including philanthropy, human capital, and DEI, to align with ESG roadmap and goals
- Support ad hoc data requests within the larger Sustainability team
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers & data consumers to ensure datasets are properly prepared for advanced analytics or machine learning models
- Support Data Integration of Data Systems such as Workiva and Cloud for Sustainability
- Translate complex technical data concepts into business language and vice versa
- Perform data analysis, trend analysis, and impact valuation to derive actionable insights for business improvement such as key sustainability targets, including plastic reduction and Net Zero goals
- Support data process and controls for external and internal reporting initiatives such as the Impact Report, CDP, EPR, and various systems
- Support data collection and monitoring of enterprise sustainability initiatives, procurement, emissions and energy, plastic, water, waste, and other environmental sustainability data
- Build and monitor sustainability data dashboards, analyzing internal and external trends and projections
- 3+ years professional experience in data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- 3 years professional experience with sustainability insight platforms such as Workiva, Google Cloud Platform, or Cloud for Sustainability.
- Experience with SQL and database management.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, and PowerBI.
- Knowledge of programming languages
- Understanding of data governance and data quality management

- 5 years professional experience, preferably with data management, sustainability, and/or environmental/social impact background.
- Familiarity with environmental sustainability workstreams, including waste, plastic, or energy.
- Experience and/or interest in environmental, social, and governance rating and ranking agencies (Sustainalytics, MSCI, ISS, CDP, etc.).
- Some experience or knowledge of key sustainability reporting frameworks, including but not limited to GRI, TCFD, and SASB.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent work experience
- Master's degree (Preferred)

The typical pay range for this role is:$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
