The Senior Analyst, FP&A plays a pivotal role in transforming how data drives strategic decisions across ABHIL. This role blends technical acumen with business curiosity and thrives on improving processes, automating reporting, and translating insights into action. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Medical Management, Vendor Management, and other internal and external partners to support strategic initiatives and meet regulatory reporting requirements.
You will be responsible for developing both recurring and ad-hoc analyses that empower executive leadership with the insights needed to make critical decisions. Your work will span financial impact assessments, ROI analyses, regulatory reporting for the State of Illinois, and strategic business opportunity tracking. The Senior Analyst, FP&A is a strategic partner in transforming how data powers decisions across ABHIL.
This role blends technical skill, business understanding, and creative problem-solving to deliver insights that matter. You'll lead efforts in connecting data across systems, building dashboards, identifying trends, and telling compelling stories that drive action.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Medical Management, Vendor Management, and other internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and meet regulatory reporting requirements. Your work will help executive leadership make informed decisions, track strategic opportunities, and ensure compliance with State of Illinois Medicaid regulations.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze data trends and performance drivers to uncover actionable insights that support strategic and regulatory initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
- Automate recurring reports and enable self-service analytics to improve efficiency and accessibility.
- Conduct ROI and financial impact analyses for new programs, pilots, and operational changes.
- Prepare monthly FP&A reports for ABHIL CEO, Central Division CEO, and Medicaid CEO.
- Support State of Illinois regulatory reporting (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual) and ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements.
- Lead Scorable Action Items (SAIs) sizing, validation, reporting, and tracking to drive performance improvement.
- Translate ambiguous business needs into clear reporting specifications and deliverables.
- Validate data integrity and ensure quality across all outputs, including ad hoc analyses for executive decision-making.
- Monitor vendor performance and support related reporting and analytics needs.
- Engage in data audits, workflow validations, and resolution of data quality issues.
- Champion innovation through AI, predictive analytics, and automation platforms (e.g., Nadia, Artey).
- Escalate issues proactively and collaborate across teams to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.
- Support change management efforts and promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.

- Advanced SQL skills and the ability to connect data across multiple sources
- Experience building interactive dashboards and visuals using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.

- 4+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or automation roles, including financial reporting.
- 4+ years of experience in financial acumen and data analytics work.
- 4+ years experience working with SQL, Power BI and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and motivation to continue to use various solutions.
- Experience in health insurance, managed care, or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Project management experience or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge and Experience using Healthcare datasets, healthcare analysis, and/or health economics
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
