And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Weekends Job Purpose and Summary: The OTCHS colleague will perform a variety of assigned work tasks. As a General Warehouse colleague, you will pick pieces of merchandise into a tote or box for customer orders. You will be responsible maintaining high levels of accuracy and performance to meet the needs to our customers while utilizing safe work practices. You may work in other areas or functions of the warehouse and cross trained in OTCHS functions, as needed such as Box making, Stocker, Packer, Inductor, Runner and Auto Bagger. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities: 1. General Warehouse - 40%
- Read customer orders by the appropriate pick method for your DC, which will include, the item locations, descriptions, and quality needed.
- Select the needed pieces of merchandise and place in the box for the customer.
- Pack items into box and seal.
- Move boxes or totes of merchandise (up to 30-50 pounds regularly) utilizing safe lifting technique
- On occasion, will also perform Box making assembling cardboard boxes to ship items to customers.
- Will also rotate into Stocker function as needed
- Induct freight into the Sure Sort Machines properly
- Handle freight to and from Sure Sort Machines
- Identify mispicked items items and return to proper locations
- Ensure order is completed with all available product for customers
- Comprehend lighting system to ensure order completion
- Transferring freight to and from Sure Sort Machines
- Verifying all required items are processed for downline customer
- Process orders that are completed
- Comprehend lighting system to ensure order completion/issues to communicate on the conveye Sure/Sort system
- Transferring freight into Auto Bagger
- Verifying all required items are in bags/boxes prior to departure (documents, labels, location, etc)
- Process orders to show completion
- Comprehend lighting system to ensure order completion/issues to communicate on the conveyer system
High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED) - required Prior Relevant Work Experience :
0 to 3 years - required
3 to 5 years - preferred Essential Qualifications, Essential Functions & Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to read , write, and count accurately.
- Frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift 30-50 regularly and up to 75lbs with a team lift.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to process large amounts of data with high levels of accuracy.
- Must be able to work overtime and the weekends as needed to include high volume periods
- Proven ability to be a collaborator who is comfortable working ina team-base environment.
- Prior Warehouse Experience
- Ability to be certified on required Equipment
