Performs underwriting analysis and risk assessment for new and/or renewal of employer group contracts and accountings. Assigned cases/book of business with increasing levels of complexity and will include multiple product types, funding arrangements and/or rating methodologies. Position could be in Medical, Pharmacy, Dental/Vision, or Student Health Underwriting.

Required Qualifications
Prepares and delivers complex new business quotes and/or existing business renewals.
Independently reviews work for accuracy, identifies risks and makes recommendations to manage risk while growing or retaining membership. Leverages knowledge and experience of risk analysis in mentoring others when making recommendations. Anticipates questions and formulate responses.
Utilizes advanced functionality of underwriting tools, systems, and reference materials to produce accurate quotes, renewals and/or accountings within assigned timelines
Applies underwriting guidelines and utilizes underwriting variance authority for their position on any work assigned to them
Develops underwriting strategies for customers in concert with other stakeholders (sales, claims, customer service) by using knowledge of industry trends, economy, competition, and business objectives. Is able to independently present information to employers, brokers and consultants as needed.
Produces timely and accurate customer specific documents, deliverables and account related information. Ensures the pricing and/or accounting supports the quote/renewal strategy. Peer reviews others' work for accuracy.
Conducts audits on premiums, fees and claim wires to ensure all receivables are accurate and accounted for. Tracks and approves customer allowances or MBE/WBE goals using compliance guidelines.
Actively participates in projects or workgroups focused on process improvement through automation or process change and may be opportunities to take a leadership role.
In addition to mentoring, identifies training gaps and recommends an appropriate course of action. May be asked to develop or deliver training.Preferred Qualifications
5+ years' experience in underwriting/accounting pricing methodologies and funding arrangements.
Demonstrated success prioritizing work and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to utilize analytical and independent thinking skills.
Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations.
Experience providing clear and concise written and verbal communications with internal and external audiences
Experience working with standard Microsoft Office suite with extensive Microsoft Excel knowledge and skillsEducation

The typical pay range for this role is:$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
