• Develops and implements transportation strategies that aim to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products to various locations.
• Manages transportation budgets to ensure that costs are within parameters and support the organization's critical financial objectives.

• Coordinates with carriers to ensure deliveries are made on time and to the correct destinations.
• Ensures compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and relevant laws that govern the movement of pharmaceutical products.
• Manages transportation staff, including drivers and dispatchers, to ensure they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
• Implements environmentally sustainable transportation practices and initiatives, such as fuel efficiency programs and emissions reduction strategies.
• Works with other departments within the organization, such as inventory management, procurement, and logistics, to ensure integrated supply chain operations.
• Tracks and analyzes transportation performance metrics, such as delivery times, on-time performance, and transportation costs.
• Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure the delivery of exceptional services.
• Integrates Samsara and Idelic technologies to enhance fleet management and driver safety. Utilizes Samsara's telematics for real-time monitoring and data collection, and Idelic's predictive analytics to identify high-risk behaviors and implement targeted training programs.
• Oversees the new driver safety program, including the implementation of safety risk assessments, performance improvement plans, and compliance with safety regulations. Utilizes Idelic's Safety Suite to monitor watch list scores and conduct safety risk assessments.Education:
• Post-secondary/high school education or specialized training, i.e., technical/vocational programs.Required Qualifications:
7+ years in DC Transportation management
5+ years of Strong P&L experience.Prior Relevant Work Experience:
• Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMSCA) standards.
• Experience with fleet management systems.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and analyze transportation performance metrics.

• Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CLT).
• Certified Transportation Manager (CTM).
• Experience with fleet management systems, Samsara and Idelic.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

The typical pay range for this role is:$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
