The Manager, Behavioral Health Partner Implementation & Project Management plays a vital role within Aetna's Mental Well-being organization, supporting the strategy team in the coordination, implementation, and operational support of behavioral health partnerships and new network initiatives. This position is focused on hands-on project management and the successful delivery of new and ongoing behavioral health initiatives, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes and operational excellence.Position Overview

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement partnership strategies and manage day-to-day project activities for behavioral health initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating new partnership opportunities, ensuring they align with organizational priorities and ongoing initiatives.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, track deliverables, and ensure that project timelines and milestones are achieved for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and documentation of partnership processes, workflows, and best practices to drive operational efficiency.
  • Prepare project plans, status reports, and presentations to communicate progress and outcomes to leadership and partners.
  • Monitor project risks, dependencies, and barriers, escalating issues or recommending solutions to leadership as needed.
  • Support vendor management and contract tracking in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Contribute to market and competitive analysis, delivering actionable insights to inform project implementation and tactical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to define, track, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to behavioral health outcomes, engagement, and user satisfaction.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and implementation of new provider types and care modalities, supporting the diversification of the behavioral health offerings.
  • Support the design and roll-out of pilot programs enhancements, gathering data and insights to inform broader deployment.
  • Work with marketing and communications teams to ensure clear, effective messaging and documentation for both internal and external audiences.
Required Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience and technical/functional expertise in project management, implementation, or operational support roles within behavioral health, healthcare, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional strategic initiatives and managing multiple projects with effective prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in meeting project milestones and managing project risks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and collaborate at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to independently solve problems and drive teams to successful results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting behavioral health or payer organizations, including commercial and Medicare business lines.
  • Background in vendor management, contract administration, or provider relations.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and deliver results with moderate supervision.

The typical pay range for this role is:$60,300.00 - $159,120.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
