The Lead Director, Revenue Cycle position leads a team who are collectively responsible for the timely and comprehensive collection and preservation of cash associated to Specialty Pharmacy revenue while minimizing our cost to collect. The Lead Director, Revenue Cycle contributes to fostering a strong culture of employee engagement and compliance. The Lead Director, Revenue Cycle contributes to driving efficient operations, continuous improvement, and short and long term strategy development and execution. The role requires close collaboration across Finance, Operations, Contracting, Legal, Compliance, etc.Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a strong revenue cycle leadership team and staff through effective recruitment, talent management, creation of a collaborative results-oriented culture, and a focus on continual improvement and provide direct oversight to billing and collections operations ensuring departmental performance goals are met.
- Monitor and trend department performance metrics on a daily and monthly basis.
- Investigate variances and resolves any issues.
- Maintain primary responsibility for resolving all payer/client issues while leading discussions with Payers, Sales and Legal.
- Assure compliance with all regulatory, payer, and Government directed programs within the A/R area.
- Advance the adoption of automation, AI, and strategic solutions to improve our operational efficiency, revenue forecasting, denial prevention, and collection strategies.
- Elevate customer service standards and patient financial experience.
- Maintain accountability for providing leadership and financial reporting and support across the revenue cycle operations, including month-end close activities. Participate in revenue cycle strategy development as a thoughtful leader and content expert, sharing best practices, optimizing performance, and leading the transformation .
- Evaluate new vendor capabilities, participate in the contracting process and support subsequent onboarding and go-live activities.
- Responsible for managing policy and procedure development and adherence. Use predictive insights to proactively identify revenue risks, improve patient financial experience, and guide strategic decision-making.
- Monitor KPI's and metrics related to reimbursement, cash flow, aging AR and denial trends: report findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Serve as subject matter expert for billing regulations and lead education efforts across departments.
- Minimum 10 years related work experience.
- Leadership experience overseeing large teams across multiple functions.
- Drives strategy and implements strategy execution.
- Strong change management and organizational transformation experience.
- Proven track record using automation, analytics, or AI-enabled solutions to improve outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Bachelor degree OR equivalent experience.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
