Lead Director - Quality Engineering

This role will be responsible for establishing best practices, implementing robust test automation frameworks, and integrating quality processes into CI/CD pipelines to ensure the delivery of high-performing, reliable software solutions.Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce QA/QE best practices across all PLSS teams to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive test environment strategy to support scalable and efficient testing.
- Oversee the automation of regression and sanity test cases , ensuring coverage and reliability.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines , enabling continuous quality validation.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement QA tools for test automation, performance testing, and defect tracking.
- Lead the implementation of automated testing frameworks through proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Enable automated data setup for recurring test scenarios to streamline test execution.
- Act as a liaison between QA teams, development, product management, and business GMs , ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Define and track quality metrics to measure software performance against functional and technical requirements.

- 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering roles within software development environments.
- 5+ years of experience leading QA/QE teams or initiatives, including test automation strategy and implementation.
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing tools.
- Proven expertise in selecting and implementing QA tools for automation, performance testing, and defect tracking.
- Strong hands-on experience with web application testing, backend systems testing, and API testing.
- Demonstrated experience with automated data setup for recurring test scenarios.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with industry-standard automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
The typical pay range for this role is:$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
