The Price, Value, and Assortment Analytics team supports CVS Health's retail business to improve consumer experience and business performance through data science and AI/ML technologies. As the Director of Price and Promotions Data Science, you will have the opportunity to drive the data science vision and deliver state of the art optimization and modeling capabilities to drive business impact. Our cross functional team is agile and works at the forefront of delivering high-visibility products for key CVS Retail strategic priorities.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive and execute the short- and long-term data science roadmap and vision in partnership with the product managers, solution delivery, and software development teams,
  • Develop and leverage in-depth knowledge of Retail Merchandising business processes to translate key drivers of business value to analytics opportunities,
  • Align business objectives with the data science objectives to define success metrics,
  • Oversee the development and deployment of advanced analytical models,
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists specialized in econometric modeling, forecasting, and optimization, foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional development,
  • Set and monitor model performance metrics, and team OKRs
  • Communicate progress, roadmap, and technical design decisions to a range of technical and non-technical audiences. Guide and influence model decisions,
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging methodologies, and best practices in retail pricing and promotions to drive continuous innovation, including generative models and AI.
We are a fast-paced team focused on building innovative advanced analytics solutions using cloud capabilities. Within our team, we believe cutting-edge AI products and analytics can only be delivered if every aspect of the solution from data to model to front end UI is fully designed and developed by the team.

We are looking for talented individuals who have a strong sense of ownership, accountability and a desire to deliver high quality analytic products using advanced data driven approaches.Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of work experience in retail or a related field. In depth understanding of merchandising (price, promotion, assortment) concepts and metrics in retail
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, leading Data Science teams in a product-based organization
  • Demonstrated expertise in optimization techniques, econometric modeling, and statistical analysis applied to large scale retail pricing and promotions problems
  • Strong Python, R, and SQL skills, proficiency in working with large datasets,
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and engage in multiple projects and initiatives and appropriately, prioritize her/his own time as well as that of the direct reports, and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines.
Education
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as management science, operations research, economics, statistics, engineering, data science, or computer science
  • PhD degree preferred
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
