A Brief Overview
This Lead Director Finance Operations position leads a newly established team who are collectively responsible for the timely and comprehensive collection of funds from pharmaceutical manufacturers on certain pharmacy claims billed to Medicare, all while minimizing our cost to collect. The Lead Director contributes to fostering a strong culture of employee engagement and compliance.
The Lead Director contributes to driving efficient operations, continuous improvement, and short and long term strategy development and execution. This role provides support to the Finance Operations team by staying up to date on industry trends and regulations, evaluating impacts, and coordinating our strategic roadmap to ensure readiness, compliance, and delivering results. The role requires frequent collaboration with teams throughout Finance, Operations, Trade, Legal, Compliance, etc.What you will do
- Oversee and manage end to end AR management operations, including accurate recording and posting of AR, ensuring timely and comprehensive collections, driving efficient and timely payment posting, and ensuring swift identification of exceptions while driving the best actions for resolution.
- Establish KPIs with targets and benchmarks; create reporting to track and communicate performance; develop and deploy strategies to optimize performance and financial outcomes.
- Provide effective leadership by establishing an engaging culture that fosters creativity and innovation and drives continuous improvement.
- Monitor industry trends and regulations and translate insights to our strategic roadmap ensuring compliance and readiness while driving efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Finance & Accounting, Trade, Legal, Regulatory, Operations, IT and external parties to optimize collections and resolve issues.
- Interview, hire, and develop talent; provide guidance and coaching; foster a high-performance culture.
- Oversee ongoing training to ensure all team members are fully versed and compliant within their respective roles.
- Minimum 10 years related work experience.
- Drives strategy and implements strategy execution.
- Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
- Adept at business intelligence.
- Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
- Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills.
- Healthcare/pharmacy industry experience and knowledge of pharmaceutical products.
- Experience with contract administration, financial and data analysis, data-mining, cash reconciliation, and complex processes.
- Experience negotiating settlements driving optimal outcomes.
- MBA preferred.
Bachelor degree OR equivalent experience.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
