This role will develop & execute category strategy, be accountable for delivering on the P&L, and collaborate across the organization to deliver industry leading growth plans. As a business owner, you will adeptly use all available tactics including Assortment, Promotions, ExtraCare, Digital, Social, Store Brand and Supplier Capabilities to reach or exceed your business objectives. - Deliver sales and margin goals by attaining market share and thoughtfully managing all lines of the category P&L for Diet & Nutrition
- Shape our Diet & Nutrition category strategies by developing an informed strategic point of view and adeptly influencing key partners, including senior leaders while staying abreast of the customer and competitive trends
- Lead and manage vendor relationships, collaborate and negotiate extensively with manufacturers and vendors to ensure brand and product strategies drive sales and profitability, as well as create assortments and experiences (both physical & digital) that drive trust & trips with our customers.
- Champion innovation by bringing ideas to market in an agile way, while balancing growth potential against financial risk
- Initiate and execute strategic promotional strategies and marketing plans by collaborating internally with CVS partners (e.g., Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design and Store Operations) and supplier partners
- Lead and develop 1 direct report
- 7 years of experience in Retail Category Management, Retail CPG, or Management Consulting / Investment Banking / Private Equity
- Experience directly managing or expertise in understanding a category P&L
- Experience collaborating with cross functional team members, internally and with suppliers
- Proven track record of influencing others with and without authority
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, very strong interpersonal and presentation skills and strong executive presence
- Expertise leveraging MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel up to 15%
- Passion for Diet & Nutrition category and product trends
- 10+ yrs. Retail, Healthcare or CPG experience
- Omni-channel experience
- Working knowledge of modern merchandising tools and systems (promotions, assortment, pricing, optimization, etc.)
- Experience managing 1 or more direct reports
- MBA preferred
Bachelor's degree requiredPay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
