Lead Director, Community Development - Must reside in Pennsylvania

Leads the plan's community engagement strategy to address social determinants of health and improve member outcomes. The Lead Director oversees the development and implementation of community programs, builds and maintains strategic partnerships, and serves as the lead expert on community needs and resources for the MCO. This role requires a strong understanding of community health, program management, and regulatory requirements.
Core responsibilities
Strategy and program leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive community development and engagement strategies aligned with the plan's goals for health equity and member health outcomes.
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of programs that address social determinants of health (e.g., housing, food security, transportation) for the plan's members.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community programs and initiatives, using data to drive improvements.
- Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders, including government officials, local organizations, community leaders, and providers.
- Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with community-based organizations (CBOs).
- Serve as a community liaison, advocating for the plan and ensuring member and provider input is incorporated into planning and policy decisions.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to community development staff, which may include community engagement specialists, community health workers (CHWs), and advocates.
- Guide and support staff in managing day-to-day community outreach activities and achieving performance goals.
- Conduct needs assessments and research to support strategic planning.
- Track, document, and analyze community outreach and engagement activities, reporting on progress and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding community initiatives and their impact on member satisfaction and health outcomes.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Must reside in Pennsylvania

- Experience in community development, community engagement or program management within the healthcare industry.
Demonstrated experience with program development and evaluation, including tracking metrics and reporting on outcomes.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
